JUVEDERM

Juvederm is an FDA-approved dermal filler used to give a more youthful appearance by adding volume to the cheeks and smoothing age lines on the face.  Juvederm fillers contain hyaluronic acid, replenishing the body’s own supply which can diminish with age. A complex sugar, hyaluronic acid  assists skin in regaining elasticity and volume by holding water and acting as a cushioning agent. This improves skin texture and adds fullness and reducing lines and creases, particularly around the lips and nose.

This long-lasting treatment can last up to two years. This gel has a smooth consistency in comparison to similar products, which may have a granular texture. Most patients achieve optimal results with just one treatment. Some Juvederm products contain lidocaine, or the injection site may be numbed prior to injection, making this simple treatment more comfortable and minimizing pain. Side effects are mostly mild and short-lived, and usually clear up within 1 week.
